Mozart’s openness to technical innovations on the piano, his very own instrument, alone justifies the performance of his piano music on a modern grand piano. The Taiwanese pianist Amy Lin has nevertheless intensively studied the German musical tradition and historically informed performance practice, which are the perfect complement to her training with piano legends such as Leon Fleisher and Gerhard Oppitz. The third instalment of the complete recording of Mozart’s piano sonatas presents Sonatas Nos. 2 to 5 and Sonata No. 16.
