It is the low-frequency resonances that lend the combination of two clarinets its distinctive aura of romantic mystery. The Bärmann Trio explores this soundscape through contemporary compositions. In pieces from the years 1980–2005, the clarinet, basset horn, bass clarinet and piano conjure up impressions of landscapes, architecture brought to life through sound, fading shadows and philosophical mysteries.
