COV 91734

On their latest recording Daniel Auner and Hannfried Lucke play works by Josef Gabriel Rheinberger, among others, on the organ of the parish church St Florin in Vaduz. The instrument was built in 1873 by Georg Friedrich Steinmeyer, one of the most significant German organ builders in the second half of the 19th century. The rich fund of labial voices predestines the organ for playing romantic works as well as for the combination with a solo violin.

“They are in perfect harmony: Auner delivers noble and impassioned violin lines, whilst Lucke accompanies with great sensitivity and professionalism. True Romanticism is evident in their interpretation of these lyrical jewels that range from Variations to Elegies. Even better: you feel that you can practically touch them.”
