Since the Atéa Quintet won the Nielsen competition in Copenhagen in 2015, the ensemble became one of the most sought-after chamber music ensembles in England. All five musicians themselves are excellent soloists, but together their music always sounds as if from a single entity. On their first CD for COVIELLO, works by Taffanel, Bozza, Francaix and others are heard.
