Info en
Before his music career, Antonín Dvořák was supposed to go through a training as a butcher in Zlonice, a suburb of Prague. He honored the city by adding the subtitle to his first symphony: The bells of Zlonice. He was inspired by Beethoven's symphony style, with his strongly marked leitmotifs and the clearly structured key schemes. In the series of complete recordings of Dvořák symphonies, the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg under Marcus Bosch present their third CD.
