How does the new get into the world?
An always central issue of humanity, especially of course during the Christmas season. The birth of Christ in the conviction of the Christian world is the news of the whole of human history. Over the centuries, it finds very different echoes in Europe. The Playfords have embarked on a musical journey rediscovering Christmas music from the 14th to the 18th century. Known German melodies are next to songs and dances from England, France and Spain, The colorful own arrangements of the ensemble present the whole range of Christmas emotions from emotion to joy.

“An atmospheric, intense, and convincing Christmas recording… Anyone who wants Christmas to be not only conventionally contemplative, but also seeks true contemplativeness and stimulation, despite the seriousness, can turn to this recording.“
